Dashu farmers made a very good living from agriculture because of the investment of labor during the socialist period that transformed the area into fertile productive fields. In this section of the article, farmers complain that the quality of the land was not taken into consideration, and they are outraged at both the lack of fair compensation and the contempt shown to them by the local government.
